Next course starts
Wednesday 23 October 2013
Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury runs an 8 week Anger Management course for men. This program is for men who are experiencing difficulties controlling their anger. Uncontrolled anger can lead to violent outbursts resulting in domestic violence, road rage, or even loss of employment. The program helps men understand key issues about anger and control.
The anger management groups are held for 8 consecutive sessions, once a week at our Gordon office. The cost of the course is $240.
For periods outside course times, please contact the office as we offer one-on-one personal counselling related to Anger Management as well.
“Men who come to this course realise they can’t carry on getting angry as they have been in the past. Each man has become aware of how his current expression of anger hurts the people he loves and its impact on his relationships.
By doing the course the men gain an understanding of anger and their own personal triggers which set off those hurtful and regretted painful spirals that typify angry outbursts. The course stimulates self-awareness and provides practical skills in expressing anger constructively. It also provides skills around engaging in close relationships and conflict situations.” (Graeme Daley)
